What is the Glycemic Index?
The Glycemic index (GI) is a measurement of the impact carbohydrates have on
your blood-sugar levels. When blood sugar rises rapidly, your insulin levels also
rise, triggering a metabolic switch that signals your body to store fat.

The Glycemic Index  includes a wide variety of foods like fruits, vegetables, whole
grains and protein to help balance your blood-sugar levels. Controlling the GI of
your foods promotes normal blood-sugar levels and enables the body to stay in a
fat-burning mode.
